FAQs
- What if my sky diving question was not answered here?
Please give us a call or drop us an email. We would love to answer any questions you have.
- Can you breathe and/or talk in freefall?
Breathing is easy in freefall, but talking is nearly impossible. Only in the movies!
- How fast will I fall and for how long?
The average human body falls approximately 120 miles per hour, so a two-mile skydive from 10,000 feet lasts a little less than one minute.
- What should I wear?
Dress comfortably and for the weather. Wear tennis shoes; NO boots. Skydive Baltimore will provide you with any other necessary equipment.
- Where are you located?
Skydive Baltimore is located in Aberdeen Maryland at Harford County Airport. We are the only skydiving center in Maryland that serves the Baltimore, Washington, and Northern Virginia Region.
- How long will it take?
For tandem jumps, the whole process from the time you arrive to the time you finish usually takes a few hours. However budget at least half a day (4-6 hours)
- Can we get one video for our whole group?
You would need to purchase separate videos for each skydive. It is impossible for the camera to be in more than one place at one time — tandems are as much as a quarter mile or more apart in freefall!
- Do I need to make reservations to make a skydive?
Reservations on weekends aren’t required but they are highly recommended as it is the only way to guarantee your slot. Weekday reservations are required. See our pricing/reservation page for more information on reserving your spot.
- How long does it take to learn how to skydive?
For a tandem skydive, there is very little instruction because you will be connected to an expert instructor who will perform most of the actions for your jump. Training for a tandem takes a half hour at most.
